BlossomCraft Rules

This page details the official BlossomCraft rules. A short form list is available by running /rules in game. Report players on our Discord; updates are announced in #patch-notes.

Player Conduct

1Respect Others

  • Treat others with respect and decency.
  • If someone is harassing you, do not harass them back. It is recommended you report and/or /ignore any player you have issues with.
  • Don't contact or interact with someone who has blocked you.
  • Report other players through the proper channels, such as directly through a staff member or in a ticket on our Discord.
  • Sensitive issues or reports on staff can be done through a Management Ticket.
  • Do not argue or retaliate: report the player or move on.

2Keep It Clean

  • No harassment, excessive swearing, excessive sexual content, hate speech, racism, or discussing sensitive topics.
  • Sensitive topics include: self-harm, politics, drugs, violence, religion.
  • Sexual content includes: inappropriate usernames, builds, signage, content, skins, and renamed items.
  • You are free to speak about anything if it stays in private chat and as long as the other party allows it. Even in private chat, it is expected you respect everyone's boundaries.
  • Do not /ignore or block staff members, as it obstructs moderation.

3No Spamming, Begging, Advertising

  • You may advertise 1 in-game thing every 30 minutes, per person and per location.
  • Only official server links or partnered content are allowed in game.
  • Spamming includes:
    • Excessive use of capitalization: long sentences in all caps, or continuous use of capitalization. A few occasional all-caps messages, especially short ones, are okay.
    • Identical messages or extremely similar messages.
    • Messages of mainly random letters, e.g. "wadawfsegerheiwoffjweoji".
  • Do not use obfuscated, underline, or hard to read colors such as dark shades of black for chat color. Bold and italics are allowed.

4English Only in Chat

  • Our staff team cannot moderate languages outside of English.
  • Non-English is allowed in private messages (/msg <username>).

Cheating & Exploits

5No Hacking, Exploiting, Bug Abuse

  • Examples: X-ray, botting, kill aura, fly, free-cam.
  • Allowed clients and mods:
    • Fullbright.
    • Mini-map, waypoints, or anything that displays information already known in the F3 menu. No displaying cave layers or revealing things that you otherwise wouldn't be able to see.
    • Optifine, Lunar Client, Badlion.
    • Performance/FPS increasers.
  • Do not use VR to connect.
  • Any exploits that arise from bugs with any plugins or vanilla Minecraft features, such as duping, can not be used and must be reported. Rewards will be given based on severity.

6No Automation of the Player

  • Players must always control their character manually. Any method that makes your character act, move, or progress without steady manual input is not allowed.
  • Includes botting (baritone), auto-clickers, and key weights (putting a weight on your key, or having your key pressed down for you in any way).
  • Farm rules:
    • Fully automatic farms are allowed for vanilla items, e.g. an automatic, passive golem to iron-ingot farm is allowed.
    • Fully automatic farms for jobs are not allowed: fishing machines, natural mob grinders where you only hold down a button, or mobs killing themselves on your thorns armor.
    • Holding a single key or repeating the same motion endlessly is not allowed.
  • Job activity requirements:
    • Jobs require a balance between player effort and time. Players must show visible signs of playing: moving, aiming, swapping tools, reacting to chat.
    • Allowed: using items as designed (including cooldown items), repetitive actions that involve changing tools, moving camera view, or responding to game events.
    • Not allowed: identical repeated actions for extended periods without variation, or patterns that could be easily replicated by simple automation tools.
    • Activity check: if you are doing a highly repetitive action for a long time for jobs, you may be checked for automation. You must be able to respond to chat and react to in-game events such as getting teleported.
  • Litematica:
    • The easy-place feature is allowed: it assists correct block placement with blocks from your own inventory. You should still be active and moving on your own.
    • Features that auto-swap blocks to your hot-bar may cause Infinite Blocks to disappear, so be mindful.
    • The Printer function (automatically printing the build into the world) is not allowed: it is a form of player automation.

Claims & Grief Prevention

7No Griefing Anywhere

  • Includes stealing, breaking, or modifying anything that isn't yours, in claimed or unclaimed land.
  • Exception: the Resource World has claims disabled, so anything left unattended is considered abandoned and free to take. Make farms, builds, and leave valuables at your own risk in the Resource World.
  • Mass destruction of the map is also considered griefing. You may do any kind of destructive harvesting in the resource world (/wild).
  • No lava casting.
  • No filling other players' inventories with unwanted items, especially during crate rolling or events. This includes using crate items that give other players items.

8Claims

  • Do not claim or build within 100 blocks of an existing claim without permission from the claim owner. Failure to do so may result in your build being moved.
  • Claim past just your build area to save a piece of land for future use.
  • Report rule-breaking claims early. If they stay for weeks, staff may not remove them later.
  • You may request inactive claims be removed or moved:
    • You need a valid reason, such as being too close to your borders or in the way of expansion.
    • Generally, the more established the claim, the more time is required before inactive claims are removed.
    • Do not request claims be removed just to take over a build or items in the claim.
  • Claims must be actively used, going to be used, reasonably developed, or contain something of value.
  • Thin strip claims, claim lines, or oddly shaped claims used primarily to reserve or block land are not allowed. Placeholder claims should be temporary, minimal in size, used sparingly, and show intended expansion within a reasonable timeframe.
  • The 100-block claim protection is a general rule and should not be abused with tiny claims for extra protection.
  • Do not trespass on claims. Ignoring requests may lead to punishment.

9No Random PvP

  • PvP must be consented to. If you agree to certain rules, you must follow them.
  • You automatically consent by entering any clearly marked PvP zone, such as /warp PvP.
  • Do not teleport or trick players into a PvP area to fight them.
  • Do not fight from outside PvP zones, such as spectator areas.
  • Hitting someone else even once allows them to hit or even kill you back, though it is recommended you just report them as fights may get confusing to judge.
  • Using items that negatively affect other players in PvP safe zones such as spawn is considered a form of unconsented PvP/griefing.

Economy & Trading

10No Scamming, Fraud, Impersonation

  • Scamming is using deceit or dishonest methods to trick players into deals they would otherwise not have agreed to. E.g. renaming an item to look like another, lying about an item's value, or severely mispricing items to a player who lacks knowledge, such as a new player.
  • Low-balling and high-balling are allowed. Ultimately it is up to you to know the value of an item. If you do not know an item's value, it is recommended you do not trade at all.
  • Impersonating includes using /nick to pretend to be someone else.
  • No real world trading:
    • This includes selling or buying in-game items or money for real world currency and assets.
    • Trading in-game items/money for someone to buy you a rank or keys in the store is allowed.
    • Trading in-game items/money for digital items such as resource packs, artwork, skins, and schematics is allowed. Be reasonable and fair; you still take on the risk of being scammed.
    • Gifting in-game items/money and buying things in the store for others on their behalf as a gift is allowed.

11Shop and Economy

  • No useless or troll player warps, auction house listings, or chest shops.
  • Paying players to rate your shop is allowed, but paying others to rate other shops is not. Do not use alt accounts to rate other shops.
  • No advertising shops or player-warps in /ah. You may advertise while still looking to buy or sell, e.g. a renamed shulker "Mail me if you have X item" priced at 99 million.
  • Do not advertise within or near other shops without permission. Only make shops on claims you have permission in.
  • Player warps:
    • You can report player warps with extremely similar names to your existing warp: "/pw Best_Logs" vs "/pw Best_log" is not allowed; "/pw Shop" vs "/pw Shopping" is allowed, since Shop is a common word.
    • Warp names should be clear, without characters that inflate name length or artificially push the warp to the top of search results (e.g. /pw !!!!!!shop).
    • Shop owners inactive for 4+ months, or with unmaintained shops, will have their player warp locked. Staff will notify you; unlock with /lock [playerwarp].
    • Player warps are automatically removed after 6 months of inactivity.
  • Do not modify crate items with the unmodifiable tag (renaming, upgrading, adding enchants). Items you are supposed to modify, such as unbreakable tools, are fine. If you have a modified item, contact support to get it replaced.
  • Portal mob farms are not allowed.
  • Anything that allows you to make money in a way not intended by the server is considered exploiting. Includes but is not limited to:
    • Hunter job money only comes from physically attacking mobs manually. Thorns or other AFK farming methods are not allowed.
    • Converting mobs created by spawners into mobs that pay cash from jobs is not allowed.
    • Purposely bypassing block protection for jobs (placing and re-harvesting blocks for payment) is not allowed.
    • No bypassing item cooldowns, including dropping the item to other players.
  • Seeing through lava with mods or resource packs is allowed.

12Map Art

  • The use of schematics to build, including map arts, is allowed.
  • No reselling of map art created by someone else without their permission.
  • Map art, like all builds, must be claimed. Builds left unclaimed on purpose are considered abandoned, and griefing the map.
  • Builds that are no longer wanted can be removed for $25k in a ticket. Make sure to specify coords and world.

13Player Auctions

  • Player auctions are where a player lists an item at a base price and other players bid increasing amounts to purchase it. They can occur on Discord or in game.
  • Have set rules before the auction begins, including start/end times and bid increments.
  • Only one auction may be held at the same time in game.
  • Punishable actions:
    • Fake bidding or backing out on bids.
    • Canceling or overly delaying an auction (e.g. if the top bid doesn't interest you).
    • Troll or spammy auctions.
    • Changing the rules of the auction.

14Loaning Rules

  • Players are free to loan items, cash, and services, but do so at their own risk. There is always a chance borrowers can not repay their loan. Staff will try to retrieve the items or cash, but might not be able to retrieve all of it.
  • Lenders should get collateral from the borrower for extra security, keep in touch, and check up on borrowers.
  • Selling items with the promise of payment in the future is risky.
  • Be careful who you loan to: don't loan to brand new players or players who don't fully understand what's happening, and don't loan a massive amount of items to a single player.
  • No predatory loans. Deals should be reasonable and proportional to the things loaned out. Don't continuously request interest payments when a loan can't be repaid.
  • There should be an easy way for players to return items to you, even if offline.
  • Deals must be documented thoroughly with proof (screenshots recommended).

Misc Rules

15Alt-accounts

  • Alts are allowed, but must be logged off above 60 online players.
  • You may own multiple accounts, but only two of your accounts can be online at the same time, server wide.
  • You may only actively do work on one account at a time. This mainly blocks two accounts from doing jobs at the same time; waiting for an item cooldown counts as actively working.
  • You may only vote on up to 2 accounts per day.
  • Do not give yourself the starting money or claim blocks on an alt account.
  • Do not use alt job furnaces, and do not do quests on alt accounts.
  • Using accounts you do not own is not allowed.

16No Mini-modding

  • Includes regular players moderating other players' behavior on staff's behalf, especially if an active staff member is already dealing with the situation.
  • If asked or allowed by the staff member, you can help.
  • It's okay to remind players of the rules if you think they are being broken, though in general just open a ticket or find a staff member.
  • Calling attention to vanished staff is considered interfering with staff duties.

17Do Not Bypass Punishments

  • Joining with another account after being banned will result in a harsher punishment.
  • Do not use signs or books after being muted. You can use off-server chatting methods, like private Discord calls.

18VPN Usage

  • VPNs are allowed, but at the risk of the player. Whenever a player logs in, their IP is recorded, so using a VPN carries the risk of associating your username with a banned player. To avoid any issues, it is recommended you do not use a VPN.

Lag Rules

L1Machines & Redstone

  • Machines built must be as useful and efficient as possible, to not cause unnecessary lag.
  • If possible, machines that run constantly and don't produce anything useful should be turned off when not in use.
  • Chunk loaders are not allowed.
  • Machines or farms that make use of several water sources constantly being retracted and spawned are banned.

L2Limits Per Chunk

  • If something was built before these limits and is over them, the existing build won't be destroyed or modified, but you won't be able to add more until you are below the limit.
  • Bypassing the lag restriction is not allowed, including asking higher ranks to build for you. If you share a claim with someone with higher limits, they must actually be actively using the claim.
  • Armor stands: 16 · Mobs: 24 (villagers are not limited; mobs won't spawn past the limit) · Max entity cramming: 5 · Transportation (minecart, boat, furnace minecart): 6.
